Living Walls™ Created in Superoots Air-pot Containers

The latest application of the Superoots Air-Pot container is in the creation of "Living walls™", containerised hedging available for sale or hire.

The Air-Pot container has been built in to a rectangular trough to enable production and sale of top quality hedging by the metre with a spectacular crown and vigorous roots to match. Given the correct watering and nutrient, the hedging will transplant and re-establish in the ground without check, or can be maintained above ground in the containers.

The initial market was for prestigious gardens and landscape developments, where an instant impact was required. Further possibilities for the product quickly developed and Living walls™' customers now include prestigious car dealerships, where the hedging creates a more attractive environment on the sales forecourt and restaurants where the hedging forms temporary al fresco dining areas. Many customers start out by hiring the hedging, but quickly decide to buy. And then there's the Living walls™ Security Hedge, with its dense thorny foliage, in which the local constabulary is expressing great interest.

The excitement generated by the product is akin to that which met the introduction of the roll-out turf.
